Beginner and/or Intermediate Animators:
About the Course
Participants will design their own characters and learn to create a 2D character rig to animate on After Effects, using the open source rigging and animation plugin Duik. Key topics covered will include design considerations, how to create and organize art assets in Photoshop or Illustrator, and how to build and animate your character rig in After Effects. At the end of the workshop, students will have created a looping character animation of their design.
This 3 part workshop runs over three weeks:

About the Instructor
Yannie Lo is an illustrator and animator based in Toronto. Her work specializes in colourful, character-driven, and mixed media designs in motion design, outdoor and editorial projects. She has also taught at Sheridan College's Illustration program as adjunct professor and is currently on their Professional Advisory Council.

Required Materials
- Laptop, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator and After Effects installed

- Basic knowledge of Photoshop and After Effects
