TAIS offers a year-round series of workshops, courses and demos to expand your animation skills. Taught in-person at our fully equipped production centre, you’ll learn first-hand from an experienced artist. From hand-drawn and stop-motion animation, to sound, emerging technologies and more, there’s something to learn for everyone.

Equipment Rental Terms of Use Policies
- To book TAIS Equipment for offsite use, you must be a current Studio Member.
- We recommend booking at least 2 weeks in advance. All equipment and software is subject to availability.
- PICKUP and DROP OFFS Monday-Sat 10am-5pm by appointment. All members must book an appointment for pickup and drop off.
- Maximum rentals are for 3 months. 6 Month booking requests must be reviewed by TAIS Studio Production Committee.
- Renters will be required to present valid identification. TAIS will retain a copy of the renter ID for our records for the duration of the rental period.
- TAIS is mandated to support independent animation production, and as such TAIS prioritizes bookings for projects that are entirely or partially incorporating animation arts. Non-animation production rentals will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
Due to COVID-19, we request that members wear masks upon entry.
Acknowledging TAIS
- The use of TAIS equipment and studios constitutes a form of production assistance to the animator from TAIS, and as such TAIS must be fully acknowledged and credited in the titles and/or credits of any production using TAIS resources and/or receiving subsidized assistance.
