All of our members receive member pricing on workshops and any other events held through TAIS! They also have access to our subsidy program for workshops, and any free events held for members. Benefits

All of our members are invited to attend, and entitled to vote at, the Annual General Meeting (Organizational members get 1 vote per organization). Members are also eligible to sit on TAIS committees and/or be a part of the TAIS Board of Directors.

MANO/RAMO Personal Health Insurance

Supporting and Studio Members can now access Personal Health Insurance through MANO/RAMO and provider Arts & Enter­tain­ment Plan — an affordable health insurance plan offered by the not-for-profit insurer AFBS. MANO/RAMO (Media Arts Network of Ontario / Réseau des arts médiatiques de l’Ontario) was created in 2009 for the express purpose of providing a unified and responsive voice for Ontario’s media arts sector. TAIS is a MANO member organization. MANO member organizations that are membership based organizations of professionals, such as production centres (like TAIS) are able to offer the plan to their professional artist membership. Details: http://mano-ramo.ca/insurance

Free Submissions

Supporting and Studio Members are eligible to submit their film to the TAIS Annual Showcase, and any other calls for submission through TAIS, at no charge. Learn more about Showcase here.

Residency Eligibility

Supporting and Studio Members are eligible to apply for our Artists-In-Residence programs. These programs support the production of new animated work by artists in TAIS studios through a combination of funding and in-kind resources. Annually, the program invites artists to engage in self-directed research and production towards the completion of a new independent animated film, video, or project. The residency includes a combination of monetary funding and in-kind use of studio space, equipment and resources at TAIS Studios. Learn more about our Residency programs here.

IMAA Network Benefits

Studio Members have access to membership benefits at several other production centres across Canada through IMAAN.“IMAAN is a network of IMAA-affiliated production centres who have adopted and/or adapted a policy that extends certain membership privileges to artists travelling from other participating centres. In other words, IMAAN facilitates artists in accessing equipment and facilities from centres in other cities, without having to take out multiple memberships.”  Learn more here.

Studio & Equipment Rentals

TAIS offers studio space & equipment rentals to our Studio and Organizational Members!We have 5 versatile studios that can be used for any kind of animation: stop-motion, top-down animation, motion capture, hand-drawn animation, VR, and more.
